SUP RACE - ARE YOU READY?! (ENGLISH VERSION)

Continuing the success of Song Huong Paddlefest 2018, we – the race’s organization board, has come back and will bring the new challenge named Vietnam SUP Race 2019 to SUP lovers. The race will officially take place on 21^st September 2019!

For the ones who haven’t known about Song Huong Paddlefest 2018 (SHPF 2018) yet - this is the first SUP race organized in Vietnam, within the scope of Coupe De Hue Cycle Race 2018. The race attracted nearly 100 domestic and foreign athletes to participate.  

Vietnam SUP Race 2019 is not only for SUPers from all parts of the country to show their talents and compete for a prize but also the occasion for all Vietnam SUP lovers to meet and share their love for this interesting watersport together.

DISTANCE AND AGE LIMIT FOR EACH DISTANCE

- Long Course 6km: 16 years old or older

- Sprint 500m: 16 years old or older

- Kid Race 1km: From 8 – 15 years old

- Fun Race 2km: All ages

FRIDAY, 20^st SEPTEMBER 2019

09:00 – 17:00: Athletes come to register and receive Race Kit at Phu Van Lau

SATURDAY, 21^st SEPTEMBER 2019

08:00: Athletes are present at the competition location Phu Van Lau

09:30: Inauguration ceremony of Vietnam SUP Race 2019

09:45 – 10:30: Kid race (1km)

11:00 – 12:00: Fun Race (2km)

13:30 – 14:00: Sprint (500m)

14:30 – 17:00: Long Course (6km)

17:00: Closing and Awarding ceremony

19:00: Gala dinner organized at the floating restaurant on Huong river with attractive music and food, cold beer as well as interesting games to connect SUPers and all SUP lovers of the country.

- Long Course 6km (SUP 12'6''  and 14'): Final prize for men and women

- Sprint 500m (SUP 14'): Final prize for men and women

- Kid Race 1km (Random SUP size): Final prize

- Fun Race 2km (Random SUP size):

• Prize for age group under 16
• Prize for the age group 16 to 30
• Prize for the age group over 30

Vietnam SUP Race 2019 is organized by Umove JSC under sponsorship of Department of Tourism, Sports and Culture of Thua Thien Hue province. The event's goal is to build a foundation for a National - International cultural and sport event about SUP in the future.
